A fake passport is a passport (or another travel document) issued by governing bodies and then copied and/or modified by persons not authorized to create such documents or engage in such modifications, for the purpose of deceiving those who would view the documents about the identity or status of the bearer. The term also encompasses the activity of acquiring passports from governing bodies by falsifying the required supporting documentation in order to create the desired identity. Such falsified passports can be used for identity theft, age deception, illegal immigration, and organized crime. In comparison, a camouflage passport is an item that was never originally 'real' and then modified, instead it is manufactured to be fake initially. Finally, fantasy passports, as produced by United Passports, are simply novelty items that are meant to be souvenirs and are not intended to trick customs officials. From Wikipedia under the

Q. no, this isn't for illegal purposes (well, i wouldn't be asking here if it was, would i?). we need a passport for a short film we're shooting. it'll have close-ups both of the cover and the photo page. so it doesn't have to be so real it would fool authorities :), but it does have to look real enough that an untrained eye, i.e. those watching our film, would recognise it as an italian passport (oh yeah, it has to be an italian passport). thanks in advance G Asked by giovanni c - Sat Mar 15 08:48:36 2008 - - 5 Answers - 0 Comments A. each country has a different jacket color for passports and i don't know if italy has a blue or red jacket for the passport. plus you'll have to download the symbol that is on the front of it. The US has a blue jacket and the olive branch thingy on it. you'll have to google it to make sure that it is a good fake. Also, you could get a planner from Walmart and put the fake papers on top of it. Just make sure that the inside pages where the photo go are the blue color. I believe that is universal.
